Exciting times! Picture book star, Lulu, is on the move. Mummy is expecting another child and their current house is just too teeny. Mummy and Daddy use a street playmat to show Lulu and brother Zeki exactly where they’ll be moving to: “Lulu will be further from Tayo but closer to Hani”. Best of all, Mummy lets them play with the stickering up of boxes and items, showing where everything will go in the new place. Finally, finally, moving day arrives:  “Mummy leaves a note to welcome the new family. Lulu draws a heart and Zeki adds a sticker”. 
 
As always, the Lulu series makes delightful work of picking up on the Big Moments in toddlers’ lives and turning them into highly relatable and always joyful experiences on the page. Here, the practical steps of moving home also embrace some wonderfully tender moments such as the “goodbye supper” from neighbour, Mrs. Rehman, Mummy taking a final photo of Zeki and Lulu against their flower height chart in the old house (Lulu stretching up on tip toes!) and a sweet-sad silent exchange of glances between Mummy and Daddy as they leave. Series fans will enjoy spotting Lulu’s stripy kitty cat (both the real-life and soft toy versions) and her smiley Mary Mary doll. ‘I love the Lulu books. A female home mover!
