Selected by Letterbox Library
A selection of non-fiction and fiction/story books stretching across the age groups. In order to keep your pupils engaged, we’ve worked hard to make this collection imaginative, colourful and attractive- steering clear of books with a bland curriculum ‘text book’ appearance while still meeting your essential PSHE topics.
Some of the book pack titles have been specially drawn from shortlistees and winners of the Little Rebels Award, a prize for social justice books for children. These particular books all come with lesson plans incorporating suggested teaching activities and classroom discussion points.
The PSHE Book Packs aim to cover the widest possible range of PSHE-related subjects, including:
- Personal safety and consent
- Physical health, healthy bodies and body diversity
- Self-care & hygiene
- Digital literacy, screen time, safety and disinformation
- Healthy relationship and families
- Prejudice & discrimination
- Community cohesion, solidarity and personal responsibility
- Citizenship including activism
- Contemporary social issue topics such as food scarcity and fake news
For books covering feelings, emotional wellbeing and mental health and for more books covering families, friendships and healthy relationships, see these additional Book Packs on our website:
