Dad (yellow coat) & child (orange coat), both brown, sit in high tree branches gazing up at deep blue twilight sky. Smiling.

by Niall Moorjani

illustrated by Nanette Regan

Rajiv has a whole stack of feelings. On this particular day, he goes from stompy-shouty-angry to guilty-sad in a matter of moments. “It’s all so confusing!” he complains to Dad, “I never know which feeling is coming next”. Dad gently guides his son to the park, to climb up a tree to watch a galaxy of stars. And, from here, Rajiv learns to locate, organise and sit with his feelings by finding them in a myriad of constellations. ‘Really tender exploration of feelings, both positive and negative…it dealt with a range of emotions exploring how they can affect actions and how while we cannot always identify emotions in the moment, we can "wait for the sky to clear". Great, empathy-driven text’ (Richard, English Lead/Asst. Headteacher, Letterbox Library reviewer). Spot the ‘No Drama Masala’ and ‘Food MOMOments’ recipe books! [Indian-British family]. Age 4-7,
