A combination of real life stories and imaginative fiction which explore the lives of those coming to the UK in the broadest contexts, from the difficult journeys of those immediately fleeing persecution or conflict all the way through to long settled migrant families who form part of the UK’s age-old tapestry of a multiethnic, diverse population. Throughout, there is a focus on challenging preconceptions and assumptions, busting myths about asylum seekers/refugees and promoting a real, empathetic understanding of what it is like to start over in a new country.
