Regular leopard tortoise, Barbara Hendricks, has entered a race. Against actual animals. In just 7 days time. And now, she’s truly regretting it. But her owner and bestie, Lorraine, has every confidence in her. She has banners made and a muscle-building and workout routine for her. Come race day, Barbara Hendricks is clear that today is a “stay-in-my-shell type of day”. Can Lorraine get her to the fun run?   
 
A hilarious little tale (with a twist!) with so much to spot in the mixed-media-art illustrations. We especially enjoyed the chaotic household scenes, the crowd of furries and crawlies at the fun fair and the sheer range of tortoise facial expressions.
