Zeki and Mummy are at the Saturday market. Salvatore is selling tortellin,; Fleur is doing pressed fruit juice by the cup and Mr Adam is selling sprinkly spices. Zeki is busy at all of the stands, tasting and smelling and feeling as well as filling up his bike bucket and saying "Hello" to each stall holder in their respective languages.

We adore the Zeki series with its trademark soft-smudgy ‘real life’ illustrations and its seamless inclusion across skin tones, nationalities, ethnicities and faiths- not to mention the ‘educational’ benefits smuggled in to texts which celebrate the everyday joys of toddler life. Here, all of the senses come in to play and Zeki and Mummy say "Hello" in a multitude of languages, including Japanese, Arabic, French and Irish.

‘A cheerful book about a trip to the market...Lovely inclusive illustrations. Hello in different languages. Some fun alliteration’ (Rosalind, Workforce Development Officer, Letterbox Library reviewer). [Black mum and child]. Age 1-3, Card pages 18pp
